MI PEQUEÑO MUNDO/ MY LITTLE WORLD

Al abrir el ojo por la mañana y conectar la mente a la realidad, lo primero que me viene a la cabeza es "esto es una mierda". Me huelo que de esta reflexión matutina los culpables son

los políticos y compañía y me molesta sobremanera. Me da la sensación de que nos están obligando a entregarles nuestras vidas, nuestro buen o mal humor, y la mayor parte de nuestros pensamientos. Y, la verdad, no se lo merecen. Así que esta mañana, mientras paseaba, pensaba en los que están cerca, conocidos o desconocidos, y en cómo son ellos los que realmente importan. Me gustaría creer que entre todos lograremos que la sociedad cambie, y seguiré uniéndome a la masa que protesta, pero además me voy sumando a esa idea de que las palabras deben convertirse en acción y que la única manera en que podemos  aportar algo al cambio de sociedad y de valores, es observando qué se necesita modificar en nuestro entorno más cercano, charlar con la gente de verdad, y actuar.

This morning, when I opened my eyes and my mind started to connect to reality, my first thought was "this is shit". I guess the responisbles of this morning reflection are politicians and I feel very angry. I've got that feeling that they are making us to give them our lives, our mood and the most part of our thinking. And, sincerely, they don't deserve it. So, while I was walking, I started to think about the people, familiar or not, near to me and that they are the really important persons in my life. I would like to believe that all of us together will achive the great change that society needs, and I will keep joining the protesting multitude, but I also want not to forget the idea that words must become action and that the only way we have to add something to this society's change is by watching around what it needs to be changed, by talking to true people, and just then act.

Galeano reviews the story of the human being from the point of view of the most unknown facts and people, those who does not appear in newspapers or pictures. As the subtitle indicates, the book is an almost universal story, a general inventory of the world, in the words of  a writer who is able to join the everyday, the power and the complaint with simplicity, humor and the most exquisite irony.
